IntoUniversity is a Disability Confident Committed Employer. Disability Confident is a government scheme which encourages employers to think differently about disability and to take action to improve how they recruit, retain and develop disabled people. You can read more about the Disability Confident scheme here.

One of the commitments that we make is to guarantee to progress any candidate who self-identifies as disabled to the next stage of our recruitment process (provided that they meet the minimum criteria for the job they’re applying for). If you would like to declare a disability so that we can ensure that you're progressed to the next stage, please provide details below. This information will be available to our shortlisting team.

As we’re a Disability Confident Committed Employer, we’ll look to guarantee any candidate who self-identifies as disabled automatic progress to the next stage of our recruitment process (provided that they meet the minimum criteria for the job they’re applying for).

For many of the positions that we advertise, this will mean a guaranteed invite to a selection day or interview. In the case of our Graduate Scheme, we receive so many applications that this isn’t practical, so we may need to guarantee progress to the final stage of shortlisting instead.

Please note that this is entirely optional and you may prefer not to disclose a disability.

IntoUniversity is committed to ensuring everyone has the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their background. Research conducted by the Sutton Trust shows that someone’s socio-economic background (the social and economic circumstances a person grew up in, including the social class and financial resources of their family, and the type of school they attended) can sometimes disadvantage them in the workplace.

We want to understand more about this issue in our recruitment process, so that we can remove any barriers, open up opportunities within our organisation and ensure we are making full use of the talent available.

The answers to the questions below will help us to:
1) Assess how representative our pool of candidates is at the various stages of our recruitment process.
2) Contextualise your education, experience, and career to date, in order to make sure that our recruitment decisions are as fair and balanced as possible.

We won’t use the information you provide for any other reason.

These answers are optional, and if you would prefer not to answer some or all of these questions then please select ‘prefer not to say’.

Free school meals are a statutory benefit available to school-aged children from families who receive other qualifying benefits and who have been through the relevant registration process. It does not include those who receive meals at school through other means (e.g. boarding school).

To help us ensure that our recruitment procedures operate in such a way as to provide genuine equality of opportunity, it would be helpful if you would assist this process by completing the questions below.

The purpose of collecting this data is so that we can:

- analyse the correlation between diversity characteristics and outcomes at each stage of the selection process;

- act on these findings to improve equality of opportunity;

- evaluate the data on an ongoing basis to measure the success of our actions.

These questions are entirely optional and this information will not be available to members of the selection panel. You’ll be able to answer ‘I prefer not to say’ to any of the questions or skip any of the questions.

The personal information that you provide to us (IntoUniversity) in this application will be stored on our database.  We will process the personal information that we collect for the purposes of the charity’s legitimate interests, as follows: (1) to assess your application to work for the charity; (2) to organize selection days, interviews, or other recruitment activities; (3) for the purpose of communicating with you about your application; (4) in order to ensure that our recruitment procedures operate in such a way as to provide genuine equality of opportunity (4) to provide a record of our recruitment process for audit purposes and to respond to queries.

The equal opportunities data that we collect includes 'special category' data. Our legal basis for doing this is identifying and reviewing equality of opportunity or treatment (DPA 2018 Schedule 1 para 8).

IntoUniversity will only retain your personal information in our own database for as long as necessary in order to fulfil the purposes for which we need it, as described above.  You have the right to access, correct or delete a copy of the data we hold about you at any time.  If you would like to do any of these things, or if you have any concerns, please contact jobs@intouniversity.org

For full details of how we process personal data, please visit www.intouniversity.org/privacy-policy.

Please note that your application will not be considered if you don't submit it using the 'Submit' button below.

After you click submit you will receive an email confirming your application. If you haven't received this email within 24 hours please contact jobs@intouniversity.org

If you haven't already done so, you will also need to submit a short video presentation via the MyInterview platform here, before 9am on Tuesday 22nd July 2025.
